Forbidden Fruit: a celebration of banned literature

A reading from texts that had been suppressed or banned by a variety of states and authorities through the years.

Writers featured were Walt Whitman, John Cleland, Jonathan Swift, Edward Bond, Osip Mandelstan, Radclyffe Hall, and D H Lawrence.

Banned music featured pieces by W C Handy, Jelly Roll Morton and Fats Waller.

Readers for the evening were Robin Miller and Gregory Cox.

Jazz piano was played by Keith Nicholls, and guitar by Rick Sanders.

The evening was 'guest curated' by Paul Chapman ( 1951- 2012)
